Muscle Release Technique or Repetitive Use Injury Therapy:
Derived from a technique developed in Europe, this is a very unique
injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement and breath
to give the therapist a tool to provide, in many cases, relief from pain
in one treatment. With the Muscle Release Technique, scar tissue is
broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and
relief from pain starts immediately. There has been profoundly
successful results in utilizing this technique with chronic and acute
soft tissue injuries, taking these chronic pain sufferers to a pain free
condition in a short period of time. This technique can be used to treat
people with Carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sciatica syndrome, knee
pain, plantar fasciitis, hammer toes and fibromyalgia - just to name a
few.
Deep Tissue Massage:
This provides release of chronic patterns of tension in the body through
slow firm strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas. This
technique follows the grain or the cross grain of the muscle and is used
on muscles, tendons, and fascia. This treatment enhances blood supply to
the problem areas helping to diminish pain.
Sports Massage:
Is commonly requested by athletes in preparation for workouts and
sporting events. It loosens, warms, and prepares muscles for intensive
use. By incorporating assisted stretching, a person's endurance and
performance are improved and the chance of injury is reduced. Post event
massage relieves pain, prevents stiffness, and returns muscles to
their normal state. This technique is also used for rehabilitation from
injury.
Swedish and Relaxation Massage:
Promotes general relaxation and improves circulation and joint mobility,
as well as relieving muscle tension. Used primarily in a full-body
session, it is a system of long strokes, kneading, and friction
techniques on the superficial layers of muscles.
Energy Medicine:
The science and the art of optimizing
your energies to help your body and mind function at their best.
Controlling your chemistry by managing your energies is the fast track
for helping your body evolve and adapt to the challenges of the 21's
century. For more info on Energy Medicine, Click here.
Reiki:
A Japanese technique for stress reduction and
relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on
hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows
through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force
energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and
if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
